Platelet-Rich Plasma For Hair Restoration, Livingston NJ

Platelet-Rich Plasma for Hair Restoration | Livingston New Jersey

Our hair is the first most noticeable feature of our beauty. It is a crucial ingredient in our physical appearance, often enhances our individual personalities and sets the tone of our entire look. For many of us, our identity entwines with our hair. Therefore, the thinning or loss of hair can have a profound impact our self-confidence.

At Line Eraser MD® Livingston New Jersey, we offer the least invasive, non-surgical hair restoration treatment through the use of platelet-rich plasma. This is a safe, effective and natural method to restore your own hair. Moreover, platelet-rich plasma has been clinically proven in treating hair loss.

We perform this specialized procedure via a multi-step process.

Through careful and sterile technique, a sample of your own blood is drawn into a specialized tube and then undergoes separation via a FDA-approved centrifuge device. Via rapid spinning, the centrifugation process allows a separation to occur between the plasma and blood cells.  The plasma portion of the blood contains numerous growth factors, proteins and cytokines which are integral components in stimulating follicular hair growth.  These stimulating components are then immediately injected into precise areas of the scalp which demonstrate viability of the hair follicles. These follicles are now ready to begin revitalization of fuller, healthier hair.

Patients typically need three monthly sessions followed by an appointment four to six months later, and then yearly maintenance sessions.

Results are typically seen between 2-4 months and improve for 12 months.

Let’s bring those healthy, gorgeous locks back!

This procedure in Livingston NJ, requires a consultation with our physician to determine whether this procedure is right for you. Hair loss due to underlying medical conditions including, but not limited to cancer, liver disease, chronic infections, endocrine dysfunction may require other modalities for treatment. Additionally, platelet-rich plasma therapy for hair restoration should not be performed in instances of heavy smoking, use of blood thinners, low platelet count and other blood disorders.

The treatment is carried out through a few essential steps. First, we will painlessly draw your blood and centrifuge it into platelet-poor plasma, platelet-rich plasma, and red blood cells.
Next, we inject the platelet-rich plasma into the scalp using a safe technique. Injecting the scalp with plasma will help restimulate the growth of new and healthy hair.

Following a PRP, you can expect the first results from 2 to 4 months. The results will take further effect in the next 12 months.

Usually, we recommend patients undergo three monthly sessions, followed by a check-up, 4 to 6 months later. After these, the patients can schedule annual maintenance treatments.

Yes. Like all other facial treatments at Line Erase MD, the PRP Hair Restoration procedure is 100% safe. We take pride in what we do, but we also take great care of our equipment and use FDA-approved devices and products.

In some cases, there can be a few side effects to the treatment.
These include:
Mild swelling;
Scalp tenderness.

PRP Hair Restoration is intended for anyone interested in treating hair loss issues.
However, as the treatment includes blood infusion and absorption, it is not eligible for the following patients;
Blood-thinning drug users;
Cancer patients;
Thyroid disease patients;
Patients with low platelet count;
Platelet dysfunction syndrome patients;
Patients suffering a metabolic disorder.

Following the treatment, avoid wetting the hair for at least 3 hours. When washing it, always use a pH-balanced shampoo. Avoid rubbing, touching, or pressing the treated area for at least 8 hours post-treatment. As the area is treatment-sensitive, avoid vigorous exercise and heat exposure in the next 2 to 4 days.
